SWAT team members take part in Tactical Shooting course

SWAT Team members Dave Smith, Jacek Szymanski and Joel Slough recently attended a Tactical 3-Gun course hosted by the Florida Counterdrug Training Academy at the Florida National Guard Camp Blanding Joint Training Center in Stark, Florida.

The course covered tactical pistol, carbine and shotgun. The class is instructed by current U.S. ARMY soldiers from the 20th Special Forces Group ( Airborne ) 3rd Battalion.  The curriculum is designed to teach military skills to law enforcement officers so they may more safely and efficiently conduct CounterDrug operations in demanding environments.

CBJTC has numerous FDLE small arms ranges, live fire shoot house and a 16 building MOUT ( Military Operations Urban Terrain ) site to assist most SWAT / SRT teams with training. All training and lodging is provided by FCTA is offered free of charge.  www.Floridacounterdrug.com.
