Armed Robbery at Key Largo convenience store

Key Largo - Sheriff's detectives are investigating a robbery at a Key Largo convenience store Saturday night.

The robbery took place at the Circle K convenience store at the 102 mile marker of the highway at 9:45 p.m. Saturday. Clerks working at the store, and other witnesses, say the suspect entered the store and walked around inside as if he was shopping. He placed some items on the counter as if to buy them. When one of the store clerks began ringing up the items, the man said he'd left his wallet in his car. He left the store and returned a short time later carrying a gun which he pointed at the clerk. He demanded money. The clerk handed over the money and he left the store.

The suspect is described as a white male, bald with a goatee type beard. He was between five foot four and five foot six inches tall. with a stocky build; he is right handed and may have a tattoo of some sort on his arm, just above his left wrist. He reportedly did not speak with any accent.
