Dive Team helps with national clean up effort

On April 21st, 2005 the Sheriff's Office participated in a national effort to clean up monofilament and other debris from the water. Members of the Sheriff's Office dive team picked up hundreds of yards of fishing line from the area around the Boca Chica Bridge. Also removed from the water were bottles, pieces of carpet, lounge chairs and cooking pots.
