Introduction
The Law Enforcement Exploring Program for Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was started with the intention of providing the youth of our communities the opportunity to explore a career in law enforcement and develop a more positive relationship between youth and law enforcement officers.
Our purpose is to provide a well-rounded program to our participants that cover the major areas of law enforcement. In so doing we intend to build character, determination and life skills that will last a lifetime. In addition, we will provide each explorer the tools he/she needs in order to make a decision about a career in law enforcement.
The Explorers participate in a wide variety of community activities and service projects throughout Monroe County. Our explorers work closely with a number of non-profit groups that are trying to make a difference in our Keys communities. Explorers also assist the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office by performing certain duties that free up deputies to perform other tasks.
The Explorers pride themselves being courteous, dependable and professional in everything that we do.
